Employment Visa: This visa is granted a local sponsor requests and it is his/her responsibility for the foreigner visiting Oman of employment purpose, with age not less than 21 years old. The Visa is valid for a period of 3 months from issuance date. The sponsor of this visa needs to be locally settled having full legal capability and also be responsible enough to provide true information in application form. For Employment Visa application, it will be necessary to download an application form present at the site that should be typed either in Arabic language or English for all non-Arab nationals and be sponsor endorsed and stamped. the application form is to be accompanied by the given below Oman Visa requirements:

• 2 Passport size photographs
• Foreigner’s passport copy that should be valid for at least 6 months
• Ministry of Manpower issued original labor permit along with its copy to be submitted with every application form
• If someone else is to present the application, besides the sponsor, then the representative needs to be a bonafide resident of Omani, having written authorization that is issued by Directorate Passport & Residence General according to sponsor’s request.
• Citizens of few countries like India, Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria and Ethiopia are to provide medical fitness certificate that is issued by their respective Ministry of Health and properly endorsed.
• Specific professions like Medical, Media professions, Religious professions, Educational professions, etc. will require approval copy from concerned authority.

There is a small fee of OR 20 to apply for Employment Visa.

Family Visa: This visa is granted to the Omani national’s friends and relatives at his behest and under his/her sponsorship. The visa is also granted to the foreigner’s relatives who may be an Omani citizen at sponsor’s request and responsibility. This visa has a validity of 6 months. Necessary documents to obtain Family Visa to visit Oman is given below:

• 2 Passport size photographs
• Foreigner’s passport copy that is valid for at least 6 months
• Specimen signature copy of authorities’ signature that has been issued by the Commerce & Industry Ministry. For personal sponsorships, personal ID copy of the sponsor will be necessary to verify signature.
• Foreign resident’s passport copy, who will be visited for verifying relationship degree
• Undertaking letter where visitor’s responsibility is declared by the sponsor during visit to Oman. Relationship with visitor is to be mentioned very clearly.

There is a fee of OR 20 for applying for friend/relative Visa.

Official Visit Visa: Foreigners can obtain this Visa type at the hosting government organization’s request. From issuance date, it has a validity period for 3 months and extended for similar periods. For application of this Visa, application form is to be downloaded from the site, endorsed and then stamped by sponsor. For Arab nationals, it is typed in Arabic and for Non-Arab nationals in English. It should be accompanied by the following documents:

• 2 passport size photographs
• Foreigner’s passport copy, having validity of at least 6 months
• Sponsoring government organization providing letter, explaining clearly purpose of visit

Tourist Visa: A competent authority grants this type of Visa to the individual desiring to enter Oman as a tourist. This Visa provides authorization to the holder to enter the country and stay for one month period, which can be extended for similar time period. It is valid for a period of 6 months from issuance date and expended for similar period.

For Oman Tourist Visa application, you need to submit local sponsor endorsed application form, under his responsibility (this can be any hotel, office or tourist company licensed exclusively for the tourist), after which, the following documents need to be submitted.

• Foreigner sponsorship application guarantor sponsor letter or sponsor approved or authorized signature, sealed properly with the institution seal.
• Valid Chamber of Commerce & Commercial registration certificate copy including signature authorization copy.
• Foreigner passport copy with at least 6 months validity period
• 2 passport size photographs
