Indian visitors can get a visa when they arrive in Oman if they have an entry visa from the US, Canada, the UK, a Schengen country, or Japan, or if they have a residency permit from a GCC country and work in a job that the Oman government approves.
In the past few years, the government has been working to grow its tourism industry in order to diversify its economy and make it less dependent on oil sales.
Oman has also been attempting to improve its infrastructure and create new tourist attractions, such as luxury resorts, museums, and heritage sites.
Because of these efforts, Oman has been named by many international groups as one of the best places to visit in the Middle East and North Africa region.
