The Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, met with the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, in Berlin.
Sayyid went to Badr to take part in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2023. This meeting was part of that trip.
At the meeting, they talked about how friendly and helpful the relationship between Oman and Germany is.

At the meeting, the two sides also talked about the big projects they want to work on together, especially in the areas of renewable energy, green hydrogen, and their profitable offshoots and modern technologies, in a way that helps both sides and strengthens their strategic ties.
In this way, both sides said they were ready to keep supporting these fields. They also talked about how important it is to encourage and build partnerships in trade, economics, and investments.
Sayyid Badr thanked the German minister for inviting him to take part in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2023.
He talked about Oman’s plans and efforts to change its economy from one based on oil and gas to one that is strong and built on clean, renewable energy.

He also talked about Oman’s plans to reduce the effects of climate change and reach net zero pollution by the year 2050.
Oman’s Ambassador to Germany, Maithaa Saif Al Mahrouqi, Khalid Hashil Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, and other officials from both countries were at the meeting.
