“Nearly 1,200 Omani businesses were helped by the initiative last year,” the authority said. Workers in small and medium businesses that are registered with the Authority will get their pay subsidised for a year as part of this plan. The person applying for a job must be a job seeker who has never gotten help from a government-supported programme before. If the candidate has quit, he must have been a job seeker in the Ministry of Labour system for at least 3 months. The individual should not be older than 40 years old. The candidate can’t have more than 3 years of experience, and he can’t have worked in the same place of business before.
In this programme, the Ministry of Labour will pay for all of the workers’ monthly training grants for a period of 12 months. Graduates with a bachelor’s degree get OMR 500 per month; those with a university diploma get OMR 400; and those with a general diploma get OMR 300.
